MY STORY

My name is Adrienne but most people call me Nin. I'm a 47-year-old proud mom of two. I've climbed the corporate ladder for more than 20 years and have run the Scented Leaf Tea House with my husband in Tucson, AZ, since 2010. In 2022, I became a certified integrative health practitioner.

My Wellness Journey
I burned the candle at both ends for a long time and tried to do everything for everyone. As a result, I also struggled for years with an imbalanced gut, which led to weight gain, painful fatigue, low thyroid, eczema and imbalanced reproductive hormones. All of which affected my cycle, mood, my marriage and well-being.

Doctors always told me my labs looked “normal.” But I knew better. I was determined to get to the root cause of my issues instead of masking symptoms with medications.

Two women are sitting outside, one is in the foreground with her back to the camera, wearing colorful clothing and a hair clip, and Nin is sitting cross-legged on a chair, smiling and looking at the first woman.

After taking a deep dive into Ayurvedic principles and Functional Medicine lab testing, I found the areas that I was either deficient in or too toxic, and got them back into balance. This is when I discovered there are seven pillars of health:

  1. Nutrition

  2. Movement

  3. Sleep

  4. Detoxification

  5. Stress Management

  6. A Success Mindset

  7. Community

By focusing on my gut, my eczema and brain fog cleared up and I had lasting energy again.

By removing toxins (including heavy metals and toxic people), eating and exercising the right way for my fatigue, I balanced my hormones, said goodbye to muscle aches and lost the excess weight.

By surrounding myself with others who were health-minded, I began to change how I showed up physically and mentally.

For example, for years, I had felt guilty that I wasn't “enough.” I cared too much about what others wanted, vs. what I wanted. Then, I discovered that our personal reality is the same as our personality. In other words, it wasn’t that I needed to “fix” my body, rather, I needed change who I was as a person, which is when my healing sped up exponentially.

The body follows the mind.

If you are serious about finally changing who you are so that your body will change, schedule a quick chat to see if functional medicine labs and 1:1 coaching, a membership to my wellness community or a DIY course might be best for you. Let’s do this!
